WGL Client Recognized for Top Wastewater Project

The Lemon Township & Tunkhannock Township Joint Municipal Sewer Authority (the “Authority”), which has been represented by WGL attorneys for the past six years, was recently recognized by Water and Wastes Digest for one of the top wastewater projects in 2021.

The Authority is in the final stages of implementing this project that will serve approximately 385 Equivalent Dwelling Units, and will involve the construction of a wastewater treatment facility with a permitted hydraulic capacity of 120,000 gallons per day. The sewer system will be up and running by September 2022.

Waste and Wastewater Digest praised the Authority for advancing the project, despite the difficulties encountered due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
